Focus on issues related to Japan’s historical developments in “feudalism,” Confucianism, constitutionalism, imperialism, liberalism, socialism, fascism, totalitarianism, militarism, democracy, capitalism, and post–modernism. Contemporary issues related to war, peace, and Japan’s international role are also discussed.
